Awarded for special achievements: We know what is needed for a secure data exchange & end user consent management
Providing a secure data platform and respecting the privacy of all individuals is vital to the future success of the whole ecosystem.
Many platforms do not benefit from or allow for the possibility of user-friendly Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) that can serve as safe entry ports for new and innovative use cases for data outside of the platforms.
We are very proud that our Software Developer Joshua Vecsei was honoured at the University Day of the Mannheim University of Applied Sciences for his excellent master thesis.
With the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in force since May 25, 2018 lawfulness processing of personal data is a must for any organization. One viable option for legal compliance is the consent of the data subject. The thesis presents a technical concept for user consent management.
The award is sponsored by the Mannheim-based software company Orientation in Objects and rewards outstanding bachelor and master theses that deal with topics related to Java and Open Source. See below Steffen Schluff from Orientation in Objects & Joshua Vecsei taken during the award ceremony.
The CARUSO platform is secure by design, built on AWS with Auth0 authentication, plus every data and service that a company wants to onboard is checked for GDPR-compliance. Additionally, we developed an OAuth2-based infrastructure for end user consent management and consent propagation in a data logistic chain that stretches across several users.
